Chapter Information

How often does the local PMI chapter meet? The PMI Emerald Coast Chapter has four communities; each community aims to schedule meetings or networking events a minimum of six times per year. In addition to these regularly scheduled meetings, we offer new member orientation webinars, quarterly chapter webinars, an annual symposium, and an annual chapter dinner.  Visit for more information.

I’m not getting emails from PMI Emerald Coast. What should I do? When checking for emails from PMI Emerald Coast, first review your profile on The PMI Emerald Coast website/server pulls information directly from on a regular basis. Once that email address is updated, your email with PMI Emerald Coast will also be updated.  

If that does not work, send an email inquiry to [email protected] and request an email verification – all email addresses need to be verified before the system will include you on a mass distribution email such as meeting events and announcements.

Membership Information

How do I apply for PMI membership? Membership in PMI does not require PMP Certification. By joining PMI you agree to adhere to the PMI Member Code of Ethics. Complete the membership application available from the VP of Membership, at [email protected] or available here. Annual dues are $129.00 ($32.00 for students, $65.00 for retirees) and a chapter annual fee of $25.00.  Chapter members receive discounted fees when registering for chapter sponsored events such as the annual dinner and symposium. How can I transfer membership from another chapter? Membership can be transferred between chapters without additional cost to the PMI member. Members can either:

  1. Call PMI customer care number (610) 356-4600) and follow the prompts for membership services. The PMI customer care person can transfer membership to the new chapter, OR
  2. Send an e-mail request to [email protected]. Be sure to send using the e-mail address which is associated with your PMI profile.

Do I have to be a member of PMI in order to be a member of PMI Emerald Coast FL chapter? Yes. Membership in PMI is required in order to be a member of the PMI Emerald Coast FL Chapter. Complete the membership application available from the VP of Membership, at [email protected] or available here.


How do I claim PDUs for Dinner meetings and other Chapter Events? PMI Emerald Coast FL Chapter is a self-reporting chapter; members track the date, time, and presentation information, then claim their PDUs following the process detailed here.


How can I prepare for the PMP exam? PMI Emerald Coast FL Chapter has education and professional development options here. These providers are a PMI Authorized Training Partner (ATP) and provide services such as boot camps, degrees, and specialty courses including Agile and SCRUM. How do I download PMBOK 6th Edition? PMI members save 50% when purchasing the PMBOK for download. To download the PMBOK® Guide-Sixth Edition, click here. When you download or print the PMBOK® Guide from, it is marked with your username and member ID, and it is secured with your password. This means the file is licensed to you for your personal use only. If you print the file, it will be identified with a notice that says, "Licensed to (first name, last name, PMI member ID). This copy is a PMI Member Benefit, not for distribution, sale or reproduction." The file is easily opened during and after download using your password. 

Professional Development

Can I attend a chapter meeting without being a PMI member or project manager? The PMI Emerald Coast FL Chapter welcomes PMI members and guests to our events. You don't need to be a practicing project manager to attend meetings or join the organization.


How can my company sponsor a chapter event or become an annual sponsor? We welcome your help and would love to speak to you regarding event or annual sponsorship. Please contact [email protected] for additional information on sponsorship opportunities and benefits.


How can I become involved in the PMI Emerald Coast Chapter? Interested in volunteering and earning PDUs? We have opportunities available through the year or for specific events such as symposium, elections, and the annual dinner.
