Join the PMI Emerald Coast FL Chapter for our 2019 Annual Dinner in Pensacola, FL as we recognize our volunteers and celebrate 10 years as a chapter and 50 years of PMI advancing the project management profession. Tentative schedule for the event:
6:00pm - Registration and Networking
6:30pm - Welcome, Chapter Update, and Volunteer Recognition
7:00pm - Overview of the New PMP Exam
7:30pm - Mr. Paul Talley: “Hurricane Michael Response: Restoring Power to the Florida Panhandle”
Mr. Paul Talley of Gulf Power will discuss the preparation and execution of power restoration in the aftermath of Hurricane Michael. He will provide an overview of Gulf Power’s Emergency Preparedness Plan and how the plan was implemented to restore power to Panama City, Mexico Beach, Lynn Haven, and surrounding areas.
Mr. Talley has been with Gulf Power for over 28 years performing in various engineering, technical, and leadership roles. He currently serves as the Manager of Technical Services, which includes application support, materials and specifications, reliability reporting, budgeting, a nd regulatory support for the Power Delivery organization. A major portion of his job involves Emergency Preparedness for Gulf Power; he serves as the Incident Response Manager for the company when the Emergency Command Center is activated for major restoration activities and emergency situations. Mr. Talley earned his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Auburn University in 1990.
