    Have lunch with the PMI Emerald Coast Chapter!

    Don't miss this month's monthly membership meeting (open to the public) at Pepito's Mexican Restaurant on March 20, 2019.

    The PMI FWB March Membership meeting will include a panel of three local project managers from different industries as we openly discuss processes, procedures, tips, and tricks to monitoring and controlling projects in the real world. This will be an interactive discussion and an exchange of ideas and advice, so come with any questions as it relates to topics such as change control, monitoring schedule/budget, monitoring risks, controlling stakeholder engagement, and/or other knowledge areas. 

    Attendees will gain 1 PDU under Technical Project Management. 

    Panelist bios: 

     David Brim is a Project and Quality Control Manager for the Xator Corporation, Integrated Security Division, with over 25 years’ experience in Project Management, electronic communication systems and quality management.  He also has experience in training, safety and leadership. David’sworkinvolvesmanagement of multi-million dollar integration of complex electronic systems for customers in the United States and other parts of the world. David is a member of the Emerald Coast Florida Chapter of the Project Management Institute and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). He is also a member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ). David has an undergraduate degree from South Illinois University School of Engineering in Industrial Technology and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) graduate degree from the Louisiana Tech University. In his leisure time, David enjoys spending time with his family, volunteering at local schools, woodworking, motorcycle riding and traveling. David also served for over twenty-one years in the United States Air Force in law enforcement and communication electronics fields.    

    Liz Coffey is an accomplished leader focused on strategic IT healthcare initiatives and has managed multi-year, multi-vendor full-suite clinical implementations, large-scale activations, Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) initiatives, optimization programs and activation readiness programs.  Her exceptional leadership and management of healthcare IT consultants and development of competitive and results-oriented performance management, quality, and project management programs, have earned the trust of clients, leaders and team members.   

    As a Program Manager, she has worked with large and complex hospital systems focused on change management, process continuity, pre-conversion readiness, implementation, and activation planning and execution.  Liz developed an activation readiness and services methodology emphasizing critical factors for successful outcomes implemented at a nationwide IDN.

    Liz was keynote speaker for the Project Management Symposium at HIMSS 2014 and at HIMSS 2013 she highlighted Critical Success Factors in Implementation Readiness and Activation Planning and received an invitation to present at the 2015 Virtual HIMSS Project Management Series.  She continues to support other consultants and project managers through a Project Management “report card” she developed to stimulate individual self-improvement and increase engagement quality delivery.

    Liz served for over twenty years as a United States Army Reserve Military Intelligence Officer retiring with the rank of Major.  She is a combat veteran, awarded the Bronze Star and currently resides in the Florida panhandle with her husband, Denis, and five furry pets.

    Thomas Marler is a Senior Lead Engineer for Booz Allen Hamilton with 26 years of experience in software, systems, and test engineering. He also has experience in leadership, project management, and business development. Thomas currently provides project management and systems engineering leadership for test system projects at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. Thomas is an active member of the Emerald Coast Florida Chapter of the Project Management Institute and a Project Management Professional.  Outside of work, Thomas is an agent and coach with Mental Toughness University, a provider of mental toughness products, training, and consulting. He currently provides Approval Addition counselling to professional in sales, recruiting, and project management. Thomas is also an active member of the Whitesands Toastmasters Club in Fort Walton Beach, Florida and a Past President. Thomas has an undergraduate degree in Systems and Control Engineering and a graduate degree in Software Engineering with an emphasis in Control Systems, both from the University of West Florida. In his leisure time, Thomas enjoys spending time with his family, volunteering at church, reading, golfing, kayaking, traveling, and home projects.

    Networking and lunch orders start at 11 am with meeting start around 11:30 am.
